"It's the 24th century and earth is being invaded by aliens. We have located the enemy armada under the command of the tyrant Compütron, but do not yet have visual confirmation. We suggest the best course of action is to fire at random and watch for the explosions of the missles.
Our intelligence says the enemy armada has the same quantity of ships as our own, and has been forced to resort to the same methods. In accordance with the rules of war, fire will be exchanged one shell at a time and lost ships will be reported upon their destruction.
As per your orders you have been placed in command of the armada's attack plan. Select the target location by clicking in the left side grid above. The right side grid shows the status of our own fleet. Information as to the remaining strength of the enemy will be relayed directly to your status bar.
We believe this battle will continue until one or the other armada is completely destroyed. Our tactical officers await your orders. We're counting on you."
You'll notice that you can't move your ships, but if you want you can keep refreshing the window till they position the ships where you would like, or at least close.
